Lake Chapala North Shore Pt.1

One-day tour.

San Andrés in Ajijic, San Antonio and its Malecón, San Antonio Church, La Cristianía and Train Station Museum, San Nicolás Plaza and Church, Tlachichilco, Mezcala, San Pedro Ixticán and Panoramic Road to Santa Rosa.

This tour takes you to the Northern Lakeside Towns and its people and traditions. Historically, the independence and isolation of most of these towns made them flourish by themselves, so little resemblance is to be found among them. That may be one of the most interesting features of this region. You will experience views of Lakeside few people know about. You will discover the only real local and traditional food Lakeside, the Tachihual and you’ll visit one of the bakeries where it’s made.

You can add to this tour:

Boat ride to Mezcala Island (you can choose visiting or just going around it to view the formidable towns of Mezcala and San Pedro Ixticán from a different perspective).
